PR Newswire -- June 17, 2003

DENVER, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Denver-based E-legislativeaction.com announced today that it has started a special section called "Hot Tips". One entry in this link provides helpful tips for recovering compensation for damage to auto vehicles.

According to E-legislativeaction.com Founder, Rene Ryman, "In many cases a vehicle that has been damaged in a motor vehicle accident is worth less than it was before the accident, even if the damage is repaired." That is because the used car market considers vehicles that have been involved in accidents as less valuable than those that have never been in an accident, all other things being equal, due to the possibility of undetected or unrepairable damage. Many insurance companies refuse to pay for this loss in value. Ryman said, "The Jury Instructions and information we provide on E-legislativeaction.com helped me recover the loss in value on my vehicle when I was in an accident. I want to share it with others so that they may receive the same benefit." Ryman added, "We will continue to add helpful information to our site, and not just for Colorado citizens."

Ryman started the internet petition site after her own experience stemming from a car accident in 2000 in which she suffered permanent partial disability and remains under extensive ongoing medical treatment. Ryman is currently in litigation with the driver at fault, David S. Friedman and his employer, Kleinfelder, Inc., who are insured by Traveler's Casualty and Surety Inc. Ryman refused Traveler's offer to settle her case for $5,000.00 when her medical bills exceeded $40,000.00. When asked if she thought Traveler's is now retaliating against her for her efforts to help others through E-legislativeaction.com, Ryman promptly responded, "I can't say for sure what their intent is. I can only say that my intent is to focus on helping others in similar situations."

Denver-based E-legislativeaction.com Seeks Amendment to Colorado Law to Better Protect Privacy of Medical Records and Medical Information
DENVER, March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Denver-based E-legislativeaction.com announced today that it is seeking to tighten an existing law, CRS 18-4-412 (which prohibits theft of medical records), in Colorado to make it unlawful for any insurance claims adjuster with access to an insured's medical information to discuss (orally or in writing) any information concerning the insured with any other insurance claims adjuster (unless they are both adjusting the exact same claim) without the insured's prior written consent.

E-legislativeaction.com founder, Rene Ryman, started the Internet petition site after her own experience with insurers Travelers and Country Companies. In March 2000 her vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle owned by Kleinfelder Inc. and driven by David S. Friedman. The claims adjuster for Travelers, the insurer representing Kleinfelder, contacted at least one claims adjuster for Ryman's own insurer, Country Companies. ``I had not authorized Travelers to contact my insurance company, and I certainly did not authorize Country Companies to give out any information from my file. I believe a lot of confidential information was exchanged without my consent. I am committed to protecting others from this type of abuse,'' stated Ryman.

After the unauthorized conversation, the Travelers adjuster wrote to Ryman demanding she sign an authorization form allowing him to contact Country Companies. Ryman refused. At the time of her refusal she had no idea that the unauthorized conversation had taken place. Travelers retaliated by offering to settle Ryman's claims for permanent partial disability and extensive medical rehabilitation for a mere $750. Later Ryman learned about the unauthorized conversation. ``It was clear that the intent of this offer was to bully me into signing a release which Travelers apparently felt would have eliminated any wrongdoing on the part of its claims adjuster. Even then my medical bills were substantially more than the amount offered,'' commented Ryman. ``I feel very sorry for those who are victims of such unethical tactics. Strengthening this law will make it crystal clear that claims adjusters cannot share private information about an individual without that individual's consent.''

To date Travelers has been unresponsive to any attempts to resolve the matter, even though the limit of the liability policy carried by Kleinfelder is $1 million. When asked if she thought Travelers is now retaliating against her for E-legislativeaction.com's aggressive focus on changing existing pro-insurance industry laws and policies, Ryman promptly responded, ``Draw your own conclusions.''

Denver-Based Company Launches On-Line Legislative and Policy Petition Service
DENVER, Dec. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Denver-based government affairs consulting firm Ryman Consulting, Inc. officially launched E-Legislativeaction.com today, an on-line, one-stop legislative and policy petition service. E-Legislativeaction.com allows virtually any company, grassroots organization or individual to participate in federal and state legislative and policy issues via the Internet.

``Our goal is to promote public awareness and participation in the legislative and policymaking processes on all levels. The easier participation becomes, the more involvement we will see from the public and this is what democracy is all about,'' stated E-Legislativeaction.com founder and President, Rene Ryman.
At E-legislativeaction.com, visitors are able to complete previously posted on-line petitions free of charge. The completed petitions are then forward by E-Legislativeaction.com to the appropriate elected officials and newspapers.

A user may post his or her own petition on the website for a monthly fee of $300. After some initial review and editing by E-Legislativeaction.com and final approval from the customer, the new petition is posted and serviced by E-Legislativeaction.com. For most this monthly fee is much less expensive than creating one's own petition web site from scratch.
``We are taking door-to-door initiatives and moving them to the Internet at a one-stop source,'' said Ryman. ``We think visitors will enjoy our site. If you do not find the petition you are looking for, we will add it and service it for you for a modest fee.''

E-Legislativeaction.com is donating $1.00 to the American Red Cross for each of the first 1,000 on-line surveys completed at E-legislativeaction.com.
