Dear Elected Official:

I am writing to you to express my concern regarding the current state of health care coverage in Ireland. The individuals who impacted the most by the lack of access to health care services are those who are disabled, suffering from an illness, or elderly and unable to care for themselves. These same people are often not informed about the coverage to which they are entitled. Those in need of immediate medical attention are often caught in lengthy waiting lists for health and social services. Without restoring health to an individual as quickly as possible, government is cheating them out of maximum health and wellness to be productive citizens. I understand that the intent of the a social health care system has been to take care of citizens, however the system has veered into a cumbersome and less-than-productive cycle in which efficiency and effectiveness have been lost. In an effort to improve the health care system, I am asking you as my elected official to:

1. Eliminate waiting lists for disabled citizens needing immediate in-home care.
2. Educate the public with regard to information and entitlement rights.
3. Seek ways to find better providers for medical and social services at competitive prices.
4. Eliminate waiting lists for all social and health services.

The issue of health care is important to me and many of your constituents. Please protect our health care coverage as it is critically important to me, my family and my friends. We depend on you to protect us from the possibility of not receiving medical attention when we need it.
